  • Study of HIV/AIDS Vulnerable Population (Currently under process), in lieu of the increasing threat of HIV/AIDS shaking the foundations of the advanced countries of the world, this study was launched with the cooperation of CIDA. The main focus was on conducting a field based survey of HIV/AIDS vulnerable groups including injectable drug users, male sex workers and female sex workers in Faisalabad, Multan and Lahore.

  • Independent Quality Monitoring of Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS) Punjab, A project supported by UNICEF, for quality assurance of MICS, undertaken by the Department of Planning & Development, Government of Punjab.

  • Situation Assessment of Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children in Lahore - September 2005, A project of UNICEF Islamabad. The study aimed at finding out the nature & extent of the problem in the city to estimated the number of children at risk. 

  • Impact of Bunyad: Micro Credit Programme on Natt, Handoo and Sharifpura Villages, Lahore. The study aims to look at the impact of the programme on consumption expenditures including health education and nutrition, income generation and women empowerment. the study was undertaken by a group of social work students of University of the Punjab.

  • Impact Evaluation of Female Adult Functional Literacy Project, Daska supported by ESRA. The project targeted 5,000 women (15-25 years of age) in two years. The impact assessment is aimed to find out the effects of the programme on women's Lives.

Information Communication Technology (ICT)

Information Communication Technology (ICT) for Capacity building and Empowerment Bunyad has 22 decentralized Community Resource centers called the Basic Education Research Training Initiatives (BERTI), which are the focal points of learning in the rural areas of central and southern Punjab.

Bunyad & ICT

 

ICT is the quickest & most rapid way to transfer technology to a wider audience, Bunyad develop a CD which is a collection of very useful material for the Teachers & learners. The ICT is used to connect with the CLC's & other partner stakeholders - especially PEW-Pakistan Education Watch (www.pew.org.pk). The Training arm of BUNYAD worked on 3 APPEAL manuals & few ACCU booklets, which were translated in the national language ‘urdu’, then developed on a CD.

Title:  Senior & Middle Level Workshop This CD contained material about the literacy, their issues and how could it resolved.

Which are useful for our DCO’s, EDO’s and other stakeholders?  The BUNYAD ICT sections works closely with other partners & are connected to 12 CLC’s to which messages etc are regularly shared with & complaints etc reach the HQ at the earlist. Teaching Street Children the basics of IVT is also an on-going process. BUNYAD formulated a consultative group of educationists, social workers, CLC managers, community members, neo-literate women and IT professionals are also concerned with these.   Basic adult literacy (Guidance on income generation skills,  Human rights and legal awareness, Civic education,    Women ‘s development, Peace, Life Skills, Health Education, HIV-AIDS, First Aid, Use of energy, Environment,  Population Education etc.)                                                                                           Computer for Children: Bunyad has started rural children on to computers in Pasrur, Icho Gil, Fatima School making children aware of the benefits & use of the computer.
